Clinic Policies

At Country Hills Veterinary Clinic, it is our policy to take every step possible to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. Therefore, we have specific rules the veterinarians, staff, and clients must follow regarding the sales of prescription medications for your pets.

All prescription medications require approval from one of our veterinarians, either verbal or hand written. The pet needing the prescription must have had a veterinary examination involving the condition or problem associated with the medication. Testing required for refill medication must be current.

FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS THE DISPENSING OF CERTAIN MEDICATIONS WITHOUT EXAMINATION OR CURRENT KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR ANIMAL.

If your pet needs refills, you may call the clinic and we will be happy to get the medication filled to ensure there is not a wait. We do check our email frequently, so you may also email prescription refills.

Catalogue/Online Prescription Policy

We at Country Hills Veterinary Clinic provide customer service that catalogue and Internet pharmacies cannot. When medications are purchased directly from the veterinary clinic we are able to personally help you utilize them in the most effective manner. Our medications are purchased only from authorized and reliable distributors and manufactures that guarantee the products they sell. To avoid any potential doctor-patient confidentiality issues, we will not communicate with catalogue and internet pharmacies in any form or fashion. With catalogue and internet pharmacies there is no promise of product quality, effectiveness, or safety and the question of whether or not they are even licensed to sell these products. We feel these guidelines are necessary for the well-being of everyone.
